Date Announcement
06/27/2010

I spoke to Laurel VFD and have the following information for the Laurel fireworks July 3rd. I had let them know we may not have an engine to bring, but we could bring the brush, Utility and most likely the ambo. I was advised although we may not have equipment for all the people from 27, Companys 10 and 31 from PG are having the same issue. If we have enough people the plan is to have crews on foot or to get carts from PG County to put mobile EMS crews out. The cookout at Laurel VFD Co810 starts at 1700, meeting for unit officers at 1830, and we will depart from the station at 1930 to the respective staging areas. Fireworks start at 2100, last about 25 minutes, and we will stage for another 20 minutes or so until the crowds thin out. Please let me know if you plan to attend, non riding members are welcome to attend as well!

For the July 10 bingo, we need many people to step up. The event will be run this month by Dawn Berry , but we need people to call, work the kitchen and to work the floor. If we do not have a caller, we cannot hold the bingo. Please contact Krista Shepard for training on the bingo machine. If you have any questions please let me know.

12/13/2008 It is time for the annual fit test in the county. The equipment is at the station this week. Please make arrangements on your duty night or you may contact Lt Mike Shepard or Russ Anson to have the test done. This MUST be done as soon as possible, as the equipment will not be at the station long and you may have to go to another station in the county to complete the test. Failure to have the fit test done or failure of the fit test will cause you to be dropped from the riding database in the county. As always if you have any questions do not hesitate to contact me. Thanks,
